SEN Training and Resources

Guidance, resources, and support informed by over twenty years of teaching and leadership experience in both special needs schools and higher education. To view the current training available from September 2024, please click on the link below.

A Sense of Play offers training and resources in a variety of areas to support diverse learning needs. A key focus is on resources for tactile tolerance, designed to help individuals, especially those with sensory processing differences, become more comfortable with various tactile sensations. This is crucial to support better awareness of the world around us, promoting independence, and help in accessing a broader range of enriching experiences. In addition to supporting families and individuals, A Sense of Play provides expert guidance on SEN (Special Educational Needs) teaching strategies. This advice is tailored to educators working with students who have unique sensory-based learning requirements, helping to create inclusive and effective educational environments and resources.

Child Playing

Guides have been specifically designed to support individuals with processing differences or visual impairment who may be having difficulty navigating their environments and daily experiences.
